Bilfinger Nordics awarded contract with Valmet AB

Bilfinger Nordics in Sweden is awarded contract with the Finnish Group Valmet, which is a world leader in paper machines and other equipment for the wood processing industry.

"Södra Cell is investing in a new Evaporation line at their production site in Mönsterås, Sweden to increase the production capacity as well as reducing the energy consumption at the mill. Valmet was awarded the new line, and approached Bilfinger with a complete business agreement related to mechanical erection, piping works, scaffolding and insulation works", says Frederik Gustafsson, Business Development Manager at Bilfinger Nordics.

The Mönsterås project will be delivered by Valmet in Gothenburg and is a multidisciplinary agreement in which Bilfinger Nordics will be a total supplier of the Mechanical Construction services to the Finnish industrial giant.

The scope of work to be installed by Bilfinger Nordics includes:

  • Installation of pressure vessels/main equipment, 11 units
  • Installation of other equipment, 11 units
  • Installation of pumps
  • Installation of Vapor ducts
  • Material, manufacturing and installation of piping
  • Provision and installation of insulation for the project
  • Scaffolding for the project
