Bilfinger Nordics contributes to an effective Turnaround at Mongstad

Bilfinger Nordics performs Turnaround work at Equinor's refinery at Mongstad outside Bergen. Bilfinger is one of several key players that contributes.

- We want to be efficient and at the same time get the job done in a best possible way. A common understanding of the project, as well as focus on communication and HSE, ensures an efficient start-up and execution of the Turnaround, says Jostein Guttormsen, Regional Product Manager Turnaround at Bilfinger Nordics.

Bilfinger delivers welding and mechanical work at the Turnaround, where necessary maintenance and inspections of the refinery are carried out in a given period of time.

The "maintenance window" at Mongstad is from the 2^nd to 22^nd of May, and during these three weeks, many activities are planned for.

- We have also had a larger piping prefabrication scope. These are pipes that must be mounted and/or replaced during the Turnaround. Bilfinger Karmøy has had the main responsibility for the prefabrication work, says Guttormsen.
